Gallery "People" search function NOT working!

Hi, 

I am using Galaxy S24 Ultra. After the One UI version 7.0 update, all my samsung apps have also been automatically updated. 

I am facing a peculiar issue. When I go to the Gallery Search page and look at "People" (it has now beem renamed "People and pets" I find that all my "People" suggestions are no longer visible and I have only one pet image visible.

Keep in mind that before the update I had at least a couple hundred suggestions under "People" and I could click on any one of them and all the images of that person in my gallery would show up. This made it very easy. Also, please note that I am not saying that the images have been deleted from their respective albums in Gallery it is just that the Gallery  PeopleSearch function does not seem to be working after this update. 

I have tried clearing cache, restarting my phone and speaking with Samsung customer support. But no luck so far. Please help!

Same problem here. One of my "People and Pets" is a snowman! Samsung, please fix this. Also tried clearing cache, reinstalling gallery, etc.

And the OneUI Gallery also tagged a ball of lint as my child...

Im on Samsung S24 Ultra and the same thing is happening for me after the UI7.0 update, how is Samsung not fixing this?

Do we know if Samsung are planning on patching the problem or silently phased it out? This was one of my favourite functions, Im gutted its not on my 24Ultra. Note 9 had it bang on.

This may seem regressive, but is there any way to "downgrade" software, to a version that did include that function?

The feature still seems available but completely broken. I cleaned all possible cache (Gallery, CMHProvider, Samsung Media storage), then I confirmed all people and pet that were tagged were removed and kept my Tablet plugged in for the night.

Outcome after more than 14 hours:

# out of 30 000 pictures in my Gallery

# 500 pictures of my pet were tagged (200 of them were not related at all)

# 5 people recognized (out of more than 100 available) with a total of about 200 pictures.

With this speed it will take 6 months before the scan is complete + the inaccuracy is extremely high.

Samsung: Give us a button to force the scan + a progress bar that says how many photos were scanned out of how many available. It's that simple!
