Galaxy S24Hey all
So I just got my S24 Ultra a few weeks ago, and I've noticed that whenever I'm streaming anything (whether it be on WiFi or cellular data) on TikTok, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Instagram Reels, etc., the video gets choppy/laggy randomly, and as soon as I touch the screen it becomes smooth again, or it smoothens out after a few seconds and then gets back to being choppy/laggy. Has anyone else has this issue?
Samsung support couldn't help one bit - They pretty much told me reset my settings, which I did, and it still didn't fix the issue. Once I told them that it was still persisting, they recommended I take it to a UBreakIFix store and they couldn't help me either and said they don't know why Samsung would even send me to them.

Galaxy S24Same problem in regards to Prime Videos. Upgraded from my s21 ultra to the 24 ultra and now I can't watch videos in HD. If you disable "hardware acceleration" on the prime app the stutter goes away but the videos are like 720p and look like s**** on a phone that's supposed to boast graphics and a large screen. Amazon was of no help; stated to use a better device. Going to report this to Samsung. Seems like it's been months and this still isn't addressed.
Also changing the battery mode to unrestricted did not adress the problem.

Galaxy S24Found a solution
Switched to Adaptive Motion smoothness (earlier was on standard motion)
And switched to QHD+
Unrestricted the battery setting in the app setting (eg instagram and prime in my case)
And it finally solved the issue!

Galaxy S24Same issue here, I just got mine S24 Ultra fresh out the box about a 3 days ago at the time of writing this, I thought it was my physical sim card messing with my connection buts it's not. It's gotta be a problem with the one ui 6.1 update because my sister has the S20 FE (anything in the S20 line will not be getting the UI 6+ update) and her phone never gets choppy with Instagram reels

Galaxy S24Similar issue with my S24 plus, really annoying that a flagship phone will have such trivial issues and Samsung won't do anything about it!

Galaxy S24Same issue S24 Ultra, setting display motion smoothness to adaptive fixed the issue, did not need to play with battery settings or anything else. When is standard mode it seems to lock the screen at 60fps and anything under that (videos) gets messed up, but when switching to adaptive up 120 it will let it drop all the way 20 and go up to 120.

Galaxy S24I got S24+ like a week ago. And I hate the choppy/ lagging video. What is going on.. Is Samsung going to fix this, or should I return the phone!
This is frustrating.

Galaxy S24Yes. Unfortunately as much as I really want to switch from iPhone, the instability of android is terrible. I had a s20 and it was fine. The 21,22,23 and 24 all have frame rate drop lag issues. I tried a 23fe and seemed ok. Im guessing it’s something to do with more advanced tech in the later s models
