Date and time on home screen disappeared?

I have just updated my S24 Ultra and it has installed UI 7.0 and the software update.

Before the update , the time and date  was displayed on the standard home screen, in the style shown below  (this is not from my phone but an example I found online)

Since the update,   I do not have the  date shown to the right of the time in the top left corner of the home screen?       1.  how can I get that back?

2.  More generally, how can I control which apps can add a notification alongside the time at the very top of the home screen?

@Notageek You need to open Good Lock, click on QuickStar, click on Clock settings, enable the option "Show Date".

Thanks a lot.  Took me a while to find Good Lock,  it is listed in Apps on my phone,  but no icon for it  appears anywhere else on the phone, not even in the samsung group.

However I was able to open it and Quickstart.  Job done for the date.  And of course I know now where to control the other icons in the notification bar.

Samsung could have made it easier by including it in Settings.

Not in the Apps list, nor Quickstar. And the date is a really important aspect of the time screen, please fix. There are a few bugs and issues with update...my phone keeps going into Sleep Mode too.

Download Good Lock.  Quick Star is one of the routines inside Good Lock.  If you read other messages in the thread it will become clear.

I have s23 and I had to download good lock from play store and then download quick start from inside the goodlock app to get this option. But I figured it out, thanks!

Neither did mine,  but I downloaded it.  It is in the Galaxy Store and the Google Playstore,

Make the whole home phone screen look like **bleep** .... just want the date in the status bar. If you cant do it, cant do it .. i dont wanna download sone app that changes the entire phone so i can get the date at the top of the screen.

It sounds like you may have downloaded the wrong Good Lock. The one you want is from Samsung and doesn't make wholesale home screen changes. This is the one you want.
