Carrier info in status bar gone after update

After the last update, the carrier name has disappeared in the status bar and was replaced with a clock. I do not want the clock there because I already have a widget showing time and date info on home screen. How do I get rid of the clock and and put the carrier name back?

 I'm really getting tired of these updates changing my phone around without a way to change things back to how it was before hand. They need to stop doing this.

If you don't want the clock in your status bar, you will have to install Good Lock + QuickStar. There will be a clock settings option, where you can hide the clock.

As far as the carrier name being visible, I don't think you'll see it in the status bar. It will be visible when you expand your notifications.

Are you referring to the primary status bar (the black bar atop your home screen) or the secondary status bar (the quick panel status bar)?

To my knowledge, the carrier only shows on the secondary status bar, not the primary (never did on any phone I ever had).  However, on the primary status bar, a clock shows on the left hand side.  This can be changed or turned off using Good Lock's QuickStar module.  You can switch the position of the clock or hide it.

The carrier information shows only on the quick panel status bar, and a clock/calendar will show underneath it.  Hiding the clock in QuickStar will also hide the clock on the quick panel status bar.  The carrier information should show there if you have a carrier.  If you have no carrier or are not connected to your carrier for some reason, the clock will show there, or it will show (searching).  If you are in airplane mode, the carrier name is replaced by "airplane mode".  If you have no carrier/SIM, nothing will show there.  As far as I know, the carrier information (or lack thereof) cannot be turned on or off in any setting.  It is determined by the the SIM status.
