Galaxy S24I'm sorry you lost an important voicemail. Voicemail messages do not get backed up - either in Samsung's auto backup or a Smart Switch backup. Text messages do, however. Voicemail is a carrier function and the mailbox belongs to the carrier. If I recall correctly, there is a limit on how long a voicemail can be saved in a voice mailbox. This is a carrier limit. If your carrier says there is nothing to be done, then there is nothing to be done. If you want to save a voicemail permanently, you would be better off downloading it. I don't know about yours, but my vvm app has a download feature and it will download a voicemail to my download/voicemail folder. Then you should copy that file to a flash drive or other safe storage area. I doubt that the update erased your recordings, as there would be no way for the update to access your voicemailbox. It may have just been coincident to the expiration date of the saved voicemails. I mean even if you uninstalled your VVM app and reinstalled it, it still would not delete voicemails. When you reinstall the app, as long as the voicemails were in your mailbox, they would still appear in the vvm app.
