Galaxy S24As far as the carrier name being visible, I don't think you'll see it in the status bar. It will be visible when you expand your notifications.

Galaxy S24Are you referring to the primary status bar (the black bar atop your home screen) or the secondary status bar (the quick panel status bar)?
To my knowledge, the carrier only shows on the secondary status bar, not the primary (never did on any phone I ever had). However, on the primary status bar, a clock shows on the left hand side. This can be changed or turned off using Good Lock's QuickStar module. You can switch the position of the clock or hide it.
The carrier information shows only on the quick panel status bar, and a clock/calendar will show underneath it. Hiding the clock in QuickStar will also hide the clock on the quick panel status bar. The carrier information should show there if you have a carrier. If you have no carrier or are not connected to your carrier for some reason, the clock will show there, or it will show (searching). If you are in airplane mode, the carrier name is replaced by "airplane mode". If you have no carrier/SIM, nothing will show there. As far as I know, the carrier information (or lack thereof) cannot be turned on or off in any setting. It is determined by the the SIM status.
