Bug in Gallery app after 8.0 update

After the 8.0 ipdate on my S24 Ultra I have noticed on the gallery that when I download an image (or even a video) when the phone is in the vertical position that when you tap on a photo the whole screen jumps and it won't let you tap /choose the image. However if you turn the phone horizontally and touch a photo it works just fine.

And yes I've restarted the phone and done a cache wipe (Turnoff and hold side button & vol up button).

Has this affected anyone else? Any bug fixes coming to fix it?

Did you clear the cache in the gallery app itself?

Hello DHollins76, thank you for your feedback. I understand your concerns with the Gallery app on your device not allowing you to view downloaded images or videos. I see where you have already tried clearing the cache partition on your device and the cache of the Gallery app but it did not resolve the issue. Try your device in Safe Mode: Touch and hold Power off until Safe Mode icon displays. Tap Safe Mode to start your device in Safe Mode. If you have entered Safe Mode successfully, you will see "Safe Mode" displayed at the bottom of the screen. Go to your Gallery app to see if the issue is still present. If the issue is not present in Safe Mode then there is a third party app causing the issue, that you would need to uninstall to resolve. If the issue persists in Safe Mode, reboot your device as normal to exit Safe Mode.

Perform a factory data reset, please be sure to back up your device before performing the reset: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002030
