I was on Instagram conversating to some friends for about 3/4 hours. Then I look at my phone and it said it was on 7 percent. My phone was above 90 percent when I started the call around 2am. I'm just wondering is it my phone, Instagram, or something else.

Looks like ig needs to build their own phone the app never goes away after i press optimize button. Maybe clear the cache and put in deep sleep?

Galaxy S24Well, yeah. Instagram uses a lot of pixels and having the screen on for 3 to 4 hours is certainly going to eat up your battery. It's no different than watching a 3 hour movie on a streaming app. The longer the screen and processor is in use, the less battery uptime you will have.
