Appears to be No MTP on my S24 Ultra

When connecting a USB cable from my Samsung phone to either my desktop or laptop the phone is detected, but says "This folder is empty".  So, not able to download photos, etc.

One YouTube video suggest going to setting then developer area to ensure transfer files is turned on. However, my Ultra24 does not have the developer option on settings.

Thanks for the tip myself. I just tried an update and response was all is up to date. Are you suggesting I search for a smart switch specific update? If so, where would that be? A Samsung site?

No. Never heard of it. I have done some screen mirroring from my Ultra24 phone to my Samsung tv using smart things, a Samsung app. Perhaps in sharing screens i messed up something? Smart switch sounds like an app. This issues seems fundamental to the phone. No?

Ok, I see smart switch is used to transfer files from an older phone over to a new phone.

Hum, just tried Samsung update and says everything is up to date.

Smartswitch can transfer files or use to get monthly update theres also a link to windows app which is needed give that a try

 @wayglo  When the phone is connected to the pc Swipe down your notification panel and you should see something that says USB for charging phone  Tap it and select transferring files/ android auto   also go to security and privacy and toggle off auto blocker.

Oh when you try smartswitch it will do a driver update than tell you to connect the usb

Thanks GaryB82! I couldn't find the USB for transfer files in notifications because I had too many notifications! Once I cleared i spotted the use USB for transfer files. It was off for some reason? Slid to on and all is working. Thanks guys! Have a blessed holiday season!
