Is there a way that I can add my own pictures to the always on display like I used to? I have had my galaxy 24+ since it came out and maybe im not the brightest bulb in the tree but I have yet to figure out how to change it.

You should be able to open a photo in your gallery, tap the dot menu and select as wallpaper for the AOD, although I did hear, that for some, this option no longer exists in OneUI8.

: Allows you to use any photo from your gallery as the AOD, a feature praised for making personalization more seamless, say this Samsung US YouTube video.

Cons: Removes previous customization options, meaning you can't change just the clock style or add multiple widgets independently, users on Reddit note.

Using themes:

Pros: You can still download and apply themes from the Galaxy Store that include images or clocks, notes this YouTube video.

Cons: Not all themes are free, and this method still restricts customization to pre-made options rather than a personal photo from your gallery, says this YouTube video.

Step-by-step guide to set a photo

Navigate to your Gallery app, find the photo you want to use, and open it.

Tap the three-dots icon and select "Set as wallpaper".

You will see a preview of the lock screen. Adjust the crop as needed.

Tap "Done" or "Set as" to save the lock screen wallpaper.

Go to Settings > Lock screen > Always On Display.

Turn on "Show lock screen wallpaper" or select "Always" under "When to show"

You can set your AOD to show your lock screen wallpaper so that you always see that image.

Additionally, you can add Stickers or a Gallery Widget to your AOD using Lockstar.

Once installed, open the lock screen editor, tap the pill that says "LockStar," tap "Always on Display," then select your desired widgets or AI stickers.

To create AI stickers which can be added via LockStar, open the desired image in Gallery and long press the subject (a person or pet) and save the sticker.1760296223649.jpg
