How come I can't use classic dex on my s24 ultra?

I know that samsung is rolling back classic dex on newer versions of oneui, but I have One UI 8 and from what i can tell oneui 8 users should be able to choose between classic dex and newer dex when connecting to an external display. I don't see an option at all on my phone, and was wondering why this is the case and if there is any way I can get this feature.

The beloved Classic DeX is officially retired on One UI 8. You'll use the new, Android-based DeX, which might feel like a downgrade now but is intended to improve with future Android updates.

Yeah, but I see other people still having classic dex available on one ui 8. Is it only on tablets?

That's only for the tablets screen. I've seen people use classic dex on external monitors with oneui 8

Your original post was talking about your phone, not tablet. I was giving you the answer. I am not sure how they are able to use classic dex on external monitors. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.

It's ok. I was just confused because I didn't think they would keep classic dex on one device but not another
