You're stating the painfully obvious. My usage has been steady through all of this. Very heavy. With all of that staying relatively constant from day to day, my battery drain has skyrocketed. It has even increased during night time screen off.

You know the reason your battery isn't lasting

The issue isn't how long it's lasting. The issue is how much its life has decreased while my pattern of usage has not changed. You really aren't getting this.

92% is not great, not bad. Your battery is almost 2 yrs old.
Heavy use is how much SoT?

Lots. An embarrassing amount. The battery health stayed up at 99%+ for a long time and started dropping off recently. Yes, I think battery age is a factor, but I had a sudden drop in running time after the last update. Also a pretty sharp drop off in running time when I did my last update of one ui 7.

Thank you for the helpful information.

I'm finding that YouTube and Facebook are a bit more piggish now than they were weeks ago when playing videos. YouTube is typically at 1 or 1.6 watts while playing a video in a window and Facebook is maybe a bit more than that. Youtube, when it was well-behaved, was typically running at 0.7 watts to 0.9 Watts while running a video in a window.

I've deleted the data for both applications and I've set power management for both to sleep while not running. I'll miss the notifications for YouTube but I'd rather have less power usage.

But now that I have them both sleeping when not being used, total system power uses typically between 0.3 to 0.6 Watts while not doing anything except having the screen on. That's about what it was months ago.

YouTube is a bad culprit, Facebook I keep in deepsleep always. One in a while I will enable it to get updates.

My biggest app power draw and over heating is NY Times games.
