International/unlocked firmware. You can flash it to any other model with Odin.

I'd just say that it also may be a good idea to speak of the risks involved in flashing your phone to other software and how it can void the warranty and the risks involved in losing your data. Not everyone is an expert on what others are. I don't know a lot about it but I know it's risky and can totally void your warranty and can cause you to lose all your data so maybe you should include that in your posts so say a teen who doesn't know much about it doesn't mess their phone up permanently or lose their data and void their warranty and they may not even have bought the phone in the first place. All ages and skill levels are represented here as well as impressionable people who may not understand the risks involved

It's just flashing software it's not rocket science. Backup your phone with smart switch and your fine. As long as you follow the correct steps and flash firmware for your device it's nearly impossible to hard brick a modern device.

Well they say you can lose your data doing an official software update from Samsung so I just think all the info should be provided and maybe it doesn't void the warranty as I said there are all skill levels and levels of knowledge on this site so I just think that's a good idea to keep in mind instead of just saying flash the software. That was exactly my point. I didn't know it didn't void the warranty. Others probably know less than I do and what happens if it messes up their phone and they didn't understand the risks or how to remedy it? I also believe every company and carrier has different policies of what can void the warranty. I just think all information should be provided instead of just flash the phone and no it's not rocket science but what if a 12 year old who knows nothing about it attempts it, didn't back up their data, and lose everything because of the assumption that everyone knows everything you do about the process? That's what I'm saying needs to be considered in everything. And nearly impossible to someone who knows what they are doing could be a lot less impossible for someone who has no idea what they are doing. I don't know why that's so difficult to understand. I guess if they did it doesn't matter to you because it doesn't affect you. That's how it comes across. And what about a child that attempts it then has to go to their parents and tell them who paid over a thousand dollars for a phone? Because I don't see why some people think that every person on here is knowledgeable in everything and there is no possibility that a young, impressionable person wouldn't try it who has no knowledge of it. To me that shows ignorance and lack of common sense and assumptions about everyone on Samsung Members. What happens if someone does brick their phone, since we all know it's a possibility no matter how small. Or if someone who doesn't know it's important to back their data up loses everything. A kid in school loses data they need for it. A person in college loses data they need for it. I personally don't own a computer nor is Wi-Fi available where I live. So yes I know to back up my data to another device like a tablet but some people don't even know that. So the only point I'm trying to make is it should be considered and not assumed what everyone knows or even knows the risks involved. I wonder if you have children because you don't seem to grasp the number that lie about their age all over the internet and are on places like this. Some never speak but if they want to be in the beta they may do the bare minimum of research and then attempt it. You never gave any steps let alone the risks. Just said flash your phone.

Flashing an official Samsung firmware doesn't void the warranty lol.

And you only lose your data if you flash the userdata partition which isn't necessary.

Well it may not void the warranty but I don't see how that's funny. As my point keeps being reiterated that different knowledge levels and different skill levels are represented on this site. I see nothing funny about me not knowing it didn't void the warranty when you hear that messing with phones software can and does and has. Because as you so eloquently put it

Flashing an official Samsung firmware doesn't void the warranty lol.

I'm only going by what I've heard in the past about messing with your phones software. So it's funny that I don't know something? Glad I could make you laugh because I was unaware of something and this place is supposed to be to help other people. Have a great day
