The update that happened on my phone about 2 days ago is causing a huge glitch with my messaging. Specifically the rcs chat feature. Which does not work on my phone now for some reason. My service provider nor Google has been any help. I've turned on and off features, restarted my phone several times, cleared cache and data, nothing works. It now says that rcs has been disabled by my carrier. They have no idea what I'm talking about. They also weren't much help in trying to find a solution. I have group chats that I can no longer access and reply to. So I create new ones and people's responses are going to the old group chat that I can't type in. And at one point, people were responding and I couldn't even see their messages at all. Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it??? I can't even respond in my works group chat.
Im experiencing the same thing with my S24 Ultra & it's pissin me off!🤬🤬🤬 I even get random notifications sometimes that I've been invited to a new group chat so not only do I have the original gc where I can't reply, I have one where I can send text but their responses go to another gc & my phone just keep making new ones every so often like **bleep**!
Oh my God, it's the same here. The other part that really sucks is when I have group chats.And there's at least one person that I can't see any of their responses in the group chat.But if I text them privately, it's fine
Rcs quit working on both my s23u and z fold 5 with AT&T after the one ui 7 update. Was fine on the beta (on s23u). Was fine on Zfold 5 up until one ui 7 update also. Now rcs doesn't work and it will fall back to sms after tying to send for a half hour or sometimes even days
I had the issue of being locked out of group chats with a brand new S25. I was getting RCS unavailable and my provider is Verizon. My fix was uninstalling the latest update from google messages in the play store. It took me a week to figure this out. Good luck everyone.
