Galaxy S23It works on my A54 which, even though it is an A series phone, it is still just as new as the S24 and it is running OneUI7/Android 15. It requires LockStar. If you do not have LockStar, you cannot adjust it. If it's available on an A series, it most certainly should be available for an S series, as the S series has most of the features of the lower models, plus a whole lot more.

Galaxy S23Completely agree with you — the AOD on recent devices does feel dim compared to older models where you could manually adjust it.
It would be great if Samsung brought back manual AOD brightness control as an option in settings. Automatic brightness is nice, but in bright sunlight, it’s often not enough.
Until then, one workaround is using Good Lock > LockStar to tweak lock screen behavior. It won’t fully fix brightness, but you can at least customize your AOD appearance to make it more visible.
