Since updating to UI 7, I can no longer see the screen. I used to be able to adjust the brightness, but that option is no longer available in Lockstar or the lockscreen and AOD settings.

They remove it to protect users from themselves and from complaining about burn in from keeping the AOD too bright. Personally, I find the adaptive brightness just fine. I have no problem seeing my clock in bright light, and at night I use it as a bedside clock, where it dims when the lights are out so it does not shine too bright to light up the room, yet I can still see it from anywhere in the room - and that's with cataracts. And, my clock is multicolored on the dark side. A white clock should stand out regardless of the AOD brightness.

It works on my A54 which, even though it is an A series phone, it is still just as new as the S24 and it is running OneUI7/Android 15.  It requires LockStar.  If you do not have LockStar, you cannot adjust it.  If it's available on an A series, it most certainly should be available for an S series, as the S series has most of the features of the lower models, plus a whole lot more.

This was a great feature until they dimmed it themselves.....I am aware it will use my battery more, but I wanted it brighter!! It's sooo hard to see, no matter what I do!! They could've made it LIMITED, not DIMMED all the way for us!!😢

Completely agree with you — the AOD on recent devices does feel dim compared to older models where you could manually adjust it.

It would be great if Samsung brought back manual AOD brightness control as an option in settings. Automatic brightness is nice, but in bright sunlight, it’s often not enough.

Until then, one workaround is using Good Lock > LockStar to tweak lock screen behavior. It won’t fully fix brightness, but you can at least customize your AOD appearance to make it more visible.
