Help SmartThings app says rooted?

Okay I was using the SmartThings app last night when to use it just a minute ago and is saying it cannot open because the phone is rooted I have never rooted this phone or even attempted anything like that with this phone why would it do that?

Well, then I suppose I'm going to install Avast and scan my phone and see if i can figure out anything that way or do you maybe have a better suggestion for a different program to use

To be completely honest, i'm not exactly sure what it was.I think it may have had something to do with the cache and and maybe like a something didn't get installed all the way when it didn't update possibly, because all I did was run a virus program off my p.C and ran it and after cleaning it up a few times it started working again

Exact same issue here in my unrooted s24 ultra. Did. Not touched my phone and SmartThings start yelling that rooted devices not supported. Not that Smart Things

Yeah it was weird. Especially considering all the steps you have to go through to root a device. For it to pop up out of nowhere and say that was really odd.
Where you able to get your problem resolved.

The OP said they installed and ran an anti-virus app.

Yeah that's what I did to I uninstalled it ran the anti-virus software got everything cleaned up reinstalled and reran the anti-virus again and it started working.
