Galaxy S22well it's implied that it's possible because the phone gives you the option to move apps to an external drive. Given that information I would assume I could move a game or some other app to an external USB drive and be able to run the app just fine. That's how I see it. At no point is there any hint that it won't work with certain apps/games or that you can't do it in general.

Galaxy S22Is your phone's internal storage full or nearly so, prompting the move? I'm thinking it is possible the move process requires temporary use of additional internal storage and the phone is not seeing enough of that space available, not the space on the SD card. If you are maxed out, you may have to delete some (replaceable) files and/or clear cache first to allow enough breathing room for the temporary storage.

Galaxy S22You've already been informed you cannot move apps from the phone to the external drive, that is most likely where your error is originating from. You will not be able to transfer an app to an external device, unless you are doing it in backup mode via Smart Switch, where it's contained in a zip file as a compressed backup. Try a Smart Switch backup and see if you get a complete backup onto the drive. Then you will know if it's a drive error or a *you* error.
