I finally installed Google Messages on my S22 Ultra but I am not getting notifications for my messages. Any advice on how to fix this? I went through an 1 1/2 hours with my service provider through all my settings to finally hear, "you have to contact Samsung."

I hope they told you this already, but have you checked that notifications are on in both phone and app settings and set to pop up style?

When you say notifications nothing, no sound, notification bar not showing app notice? Is the notification turned on and not showing blocked?

If so, go to settings/apps/messages then click on storage and then clear both the cache and data. Before doing that back up your messages to Google backup.

Hello.  This falls under the "Verify Notifications are turned on for that app", but hopefully w/ a bit more detail.

Settings -> "Notifications" -> "App Notifications" -> [scroll to the appropriate "Messages" app.  NOTE:  There are several "Messages" apps, so be sure to click the correct one] -> click on the NAME of the app, not the toggle.

Within there, ensure "Allow Notifications" is ON, select "Allow Sound and Vibration", & set all "Notification Types" to "Allowed".

Then click "Configure in Messages".

Ensure "Hear Outgoing and Incoming Message Sounds" is turned ON.

Yes, this may be a bit aggressive regarding Notifications for this app, but once they're working, you can go through these same steps to start disabling undesirable notification settings.

Unrelated to "Messages" app, spot check your "Sounds and Vibration" settings to ensure there's a Notification sound set, volumes are up, etc.

If all else fails, uninstall messages, reinstall, & repeat the steps above.

Good luck!

Thanks, everyoneā¤. I reached out to Samsung. They went through some steps and took my info to kick up to a programmer. Not sure what the heck they did, but it started working about an hour ago.
