apps not removable

im not able to remove apps from my home screen. there used to be the option after holding down on an app to either remove or uninstall. now it looks like there's no option to remove meaning all my apps have to be on my home screen

Go to phone settings. Click on Home screen. Make sure that "Home screen layout" is set to "Home and Apps screens".

Then, make sure that "Lock Home screen layout" is disabled.
