Galaxy S Phones
Hello,

My name is Jeffery Baxter.  I've been a Samsung phone user for the first time since July of 2013.  The phone I got at the time was the Galaxy S4.  Samsung phones I got after that were the S6, S7 Edge, Note 8 and Note 20 Ultra.  As for the upcoming S26 Ultra, myself and more than quite of few Samsung fans would like to see an increase for two things and a return for something.  In general, Samsung do things based on feedback or by listening to fans.  In terms of Samsung "listening" to fans as they've said on few instances during their Unpacked presentation conferences, one thing that needs to make a return is to bring back memory expansion on the flagship mainline phones.  Since 2021 there has been no memory expansion on the flagship mainline phones.  The last phone that had memory expansion was the Note 20 Ultra which came out back in 2020. Mainline phone devices that came out for 2021 to until now 2025 doesn't have memory expansion.  Samsung need to bring that back due to the fact that their tablet lines have memory expansion and their laptop lines have it as well. Not only that, 2 TB micro sd cards are available now. The 2 TB micro sd cards came out sometime this past year 2024. This will give phone power users higher l...

Let's see if some of these will get implementation when the time comes.  It would be great if they do get implemented.  Looking forward to seeing the S26 Series conference in January and to see what the devices have to offer.

Of course they do.  Haven't you ever had to sit through a photo presentation of your cousin's newborn - all 7000 pictures from the first week of life? 🙂

Why are we talking about this like 5 years later? If you really really want the SD card, get A series phones. Just get out of that rock and see that other companies are doing this know. With Technological advancements, this is really unlikely.

People just don't like change/progress.  It's astounding to me how some of them will embrace or ask for specific new features, but can't get behind something being eliminated in favor of those advancements.  It's like they can't put 2+2 together.  I mean, personally, I like the SD card and it was one of many reasons I chose my A54 over an S series, but I would have bought it without the SD card as, the other reasons are that I wouldn't use half the features of the S series and didn't choose to pay for features I won't use.

Doesn't matter if a microSD card is slow on your phone, just make it only store music, photos and video. If a 4K or 8K video needs faster memory then capture it in the phone storage. You can always move it to the microSD card later. Media takes up the most space on a phone, so reading the files doesn't need a faster speed. Samsung took the external storage away to push cloud storage to squeeze extra $$$ from customers. The same with the headphone jack, it was removed to sell Bluetooth headphones. They say both were removed to make room for a bigger battery which is a lie. They didn't put in a bigger battery, they made the phones thinner. We'd rather have the bigger battery and the headphone jack back. While they're at it, put back the notification light. They could put a thin LED strip like in the Buds3 Pro. They can put it in the top bezel.

This week a much faster than uSD removable SSD device was announced that has a similar size to uSD. uSD will be replaced by better technology within a couple of years then there's a good chance of that being added as a phone feature.
