Dear Samsung:

Are you aware that many Apple owners are buying boxy cases to make their iPhones look more like Galaxy devices? So why on earth are you doing everything in your power to make Galaxy phones look more like iPhones?

If I want a sleek, curvy phone, I can buy an iPhone - but I don't. I want a boxy Galaxy flagship that looks like the powerhouse that it is! In a world of fruit phone mediocrity, Samsung's Galaxy flagship phones stand out from the crowd. I'm proud to be a Galaxy owner every time I whip out the S Pen and write down a number with the screen off and all eyes are on my phone. It's common to hear "what phone is that?" and "my iPhone can't do that!"

I know it's too late to redesign the S26 series but please, Samsung, get back to the look that makes Samsung phones stand out as the superior devices they are with the S27 series!

I get the desire to stand out, but I have personally avoided the Ultras thus far because I find the "sharp corners" uncomfortable in the hand.

Perhaps just the way I hold my phones, but whenever I test display units I immediately feel the corner digging into palm and say "no thanks." S25U is a bit of an improvement in that regard, and S26U could very well be the first ultra I've truly considered from an ergonomic standpoint.

I may be the weirdo here, though.

The sharp corners do dig into your palm and after a little bit it starts to hurt.  I can't wait for some rounded corners on the Ultra.

Don't get me wrong but in my opinion all phones look exactly the same except for the camera bump on the back and that's the only thing different with all phones now.

I get the sharp corners comment, but my phone has lived in a case since I got it brand new: and the case helps soften those corners a bit. Still, I guess Samsung knows what it's doing (I hope) but I like the idea of not looking like every other phone out there.

My S25U is in a slim case and the corners dig into the palm haven't seen a case that minimalizes the corner sharpness.

Perhaps they should design it to look like the old desktop phone handsets.  That would make it look completely different.  There is only so much one can do with a rectangle design - square or rounded corners.  Personally, my design esthetic is for curves/rounded - in all things, not just phones.  I doubt iPhone users are buying their cases so that their iPhones look like Galaxys.  It's just what the case looks like on their phones.  Most iPhone users want everyone to know they have an iPhone, as if it's somehow prestigious.  If they want Galaxys, they would buy Galaxys.  How do rounded corners interfere with  your impressing people with your S-Pen?

I've seen the cases he's referencing. Here's an example: https://a.co/d/eeyO2L6

It's definitely an aesthetic choice that some people like.

Not knocking it, it's just not for me.

Perhaps those iPhone users just want square corners, like the OP, not liking round. Doesn't mean they have Galaxy envy. Perhaps there are Galaxy cases out there with square corners.

Samsung doesent look like i phones. When you look into it samsung already makes a majority of the parts inside an i phone. I know they makes the display and i think maybe so.e processors too. So really the best part of a iphone inside is really all samsung. #teamgalaxy#**bleep**iphones

I think you missed something... I'm referring to an upcoming release that is still in prototype phase, which is expected to look more curvy like an iPhone and less like the Galaxy flagship phones we're used to. Samsung makes the iPhone displays: but Apple makes their own processors, while Samsung relies largely on Qualcomm for its chips.
