Can someone with buds live and windows help me confirm something about the serial numbers? Theoretically each bud has their own number and the case does too... which number is corresponding the the 5F3F? My buds are lost/stolen and i want to get t

Specifically, does it match as well with the serial number on the bottom of the case?

In the galaxy wear app, i cannot even click About Device, same as on windows

windows 10 -> device manager -> bluetooth -> find the buds -> right click and select properties -> details -> and find hardware ids

I don't think that number matches with the serial numbers of your buds live.

If you still have the product box, there should be all serial numbers printed on it

Is there any way to recover the serial of the case via a previously paired device?

If you had connected your buds to galaxy phone, you might be able to use Smartthings (Find function) to locate your buds live.

@Amcantech The 5F3F is just a number to identify your device uniquely when going through the pairing process.

If someone reset the buds, will that 5F3F stay the same or change?

Found the buds:

the 4 character code is actually the last 4 characters of the bluetooth mac address

nothing to do with the serial number

at least the mac address can be used to distinguish between devices!
