Tried everything besides doing a factory reset. When I let the battery die then charged it, I got wifi and Bluetooth back but then lost it again.

Everything but a factory reset?  Why not do the reset? Did you turn off the automatic backups? Doing a reset and restore will give you a clean, new operating system, and doing the restore will bring back your apps and settings.

Did you at least try, in your "everything", to reset the network connections?

Literally the first thing I did. Also tried the safe mode check, cleared cache, update play store which that updates keeps going back to February instead of the April update.

You likely have no other choice then, but to do the factory reset.  Make sure you make an independent backup of any personal data that is not contained in either the Google backup or the Samsung backup (documents, downloads, ringtones).

Well, the good news is you only have to log in to apps as you use them, not go around logging into everything all at once.  If you are using a password manager, even that's not too big a deal (except for those logins that have 2FA - that's a pain).

Hello pgiparadox,

Welcome to the Community. We understand how upsetting it is for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to no longer work.

Troubleshooting for Wi-Fi connection include:

1. Reset the settings. Settings>General management>Reset>Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings

2. Test in Safe Mode. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode

3. Clearing the cache partition.

To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.

4. A factory reset. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

For Wi-Fi connection concerns, you can try the troubleshooting here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001559

For Bluetooth connections, try these steps: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001226/

Be sure to run the diagnostics under the Support Tab in the Members app. There is also an option to Submit Feedback to Samsung there. Using the Submit Feedback option provides the data logs from the phone to Samsung developers for analysis.

If the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are still not turn on after the reset and/or you are still unable to connect to Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, it is recommended to have the phone serviced. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in he U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/ or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
