Traded in my fold 6 towards a fold 7 and was notified that my credit was downgraded due to trading in an s23 ultra. now samsung is charging me an additional 700. Obviously, im pretty **bleep**. any suggestions on how to resolve this?

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/email-the-ceo/ . Maybe this might help the situation? Dont think the carrier you have can't do anything meaning it's limited because trade-in processing happens through Samsung's centralized program (often involving mail-in to a fulfillment center or third-party like Assurant), not directly at stores. They focus mainly on device repairs, demos, sales, and sometimes instant trade-ins for in-store purchases. They don't typically handle or resolve post-mail-in trade-in disputes from online orders. You can always shoot them an email but the link that I provided you will definitely help 🙏

Did you, in fact, send in a Fold 6?  Did you take video of your whole packing process?  When you do a trade in, the best protection is to take a video of your working device, showing the power on process and the phone information screen, along with video of you placing the device in the box, sealing it and affixing the shipping label.  That way you have video evidence that the phone you actually sent is the phone they took out of the package.  It is not unheard of that the third party handler they use has either switched the phone or attributed the wrong device to the wrong order.  Ask to see the unboxing video.  They are supposed to video the whole unpacking process.

How does anyone mistake a Z Flip for a normal phone?
