Is it a way to pre-order the ultra ( Z fold 7) by trading the S25/ ultra? I only see the option of S24/ ultra only. Just wondering if anyone who wanted to trade in the S25/ ultra will be able to have the deal as well.
Following a thorough comparison between my S25U and the Fold 7, I have canceled my pre-order for the Fold 7.
The device's build quality is undeniably impressive, showcasing remarkable engineering with its lightweight and slim design, which provides a premium in-hand feel.
However, my enthusiasm for form factor was underwhelmed by camera performance. While the integration of the S25U's primary camera is a notable upgrade, my hands-on experience at Best Buy, including a 45-minute comparison, revealed a critical drawback. Specifically, the 3x telephoto lens, a lens I frequently use, appears to be outdated, it's 5 years old. Comparing images captured with my S25U's 5x telephoto lens and the Fold 7's 3x 10MP camera highlighted this no-go for me, making its inclusion in a $2000 device untenable.
The absence of the pen is manageable, as alternative stylus solutions adequately address about 90% of the functionality of use cases.
Edit: They also went with the Qualcomm 2 year old X75 modem instead of the X80 that is in the S25U. More compromises for $2000.
