Hey. I pre-ordered the new Z Fold 7 before realizing that it does not support the s-pen anymore. I contemplated canceling the pre-order but popped by a Samsung Experience Store and saw the dang thing in person and now I'm torn. I use my s-pen often (like now typing this). So I'm wondering if folks have suggestions for s-pen alternatives or basically passive/capacitive styluses that could work well?

And please I am only looking for suggestions and help. I get that some folks don't care about the s-pen and yes, I'm aware I don't need to upgrade. Thanks.

It's called Active Stylus PEN for Touch Screens. It's a generic brand. $17. It's not an S pen replacement, but it's a very precise stylus.

Ok I'm gonna check it out. I went from the S2r Ultra to the Z Fold 7 and I hate that it doesn't have S Pen support ☹️. Why give us this big screen and think we wouldn't want to use a S Pen??

It's smart to look for a simple, affordable stylus that just works. Finding that gap in the market for a basic, no-frills option is where the real value is. A passive stylus is a perfect solution.

This is a great discussion. Finding a good S-Pen alternative that just works is a common need, and it's smart to look for simple, reliable solutions. For the most guaranteed performance, the official compatibility details are always the best place to check. You can find the full list of supported S-Pen models on Samsung's site here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00086777/
