Google Play system won't update

My s24 ultra Samsung I had before would not update after I did a factory reset it said September 1st 2025 before I did a factory reset now it just says July 1st 2025 and I traded my s24 ultra in for the z flip 7 phone and it's brand new I got the security update for December 1st 2025 but still says July 1st 2025 for Google Play system update My cheap Motorola

 phone updated to January of 2026 I don't understand why my brand new Samsung will not update it's making my apps not work right either and not respond well.

I don't think so, Samsung is blocking them for what ever reason they have. In the November update on my Pixel it turned on more advanced security feature, on my Samsung device running Ui 8.5 November Play, those security features were added.

I'm gonna go with infuriating rather than comical. It's deliberate. Why? We'll probably never know. And that's just the way they like it.

EDIT: My OP 13 is now on the *January 2026* Play system update. So yeah, only a Samsung issue.

Yes, it is deliberately being blocked by Samsung. However hot fix security issues do get included in the regular security patch.

Number one that's been an issue for many people across the board and number two it's a Google issue not a Samsung issue this is something that should be posted on Google's Play store not necessarily on here

Same with 21 it never updated
