Google Messages won't transfer

Google messages will not transfer to new z fold 7. Have done factory reset and can see them on other devices with the same account. This a bug with oneui 8?

I don't think so. I had to do a factory reset on my S25U running Beta, everything transfered fine.

Try again, do custom and just transfer messages.

I have reset the new device twice. The old phone still has all my messages on it. Everything shows backed up. Don't want to lose those 554 messages 😂

Do you have a thumb drive?

Try to put the messages on a thumb drive using Smart Switch custom. Then put the drive in your Fold, using Smart Switch restore.

🙏 will give that a shot. Found my old pixel phone too. Seeing if they will transfer to it also. So I have two backup copies. Thanks for the help.

@Statum2013 I assume that you mean your SMS messages while using Google messages?

They transferred just fine from my Fold 6 to Fold 7. What phone were you transferring from?

Yes Google messages. I had the z fold 6 and transfer to the 7. Mine didn't work so great sadly.
