I was using this forum https://us.community.samsung.com and trying to upload a picture to profile. In Firefox browser upload screen looks like:

1000017301.jpg

1000017302.jpg

Are "media picker", Gallery, " My Files" ALL SUPPOSED TO WORK? I found only "My Files" worked.

When uploading the above pictures the prompt looks very different only camera and media picker. In this case media picker worked and gave status feed back as picture uploaded

Can anyone reproduce and explain behaviour?

Platform: Samsung A54 (latest update); Firefox (latest update)

@ScottQ I've never used Firefox for that. It would be much easier just to use Samsung Members app.

@LongHiker  thanks for  the suggestion. Just to clarify this forum is just an example to demonstrate the variation in browser file upload behaviour , an app is interesting workaround that will only work for one site. I tried to refine my question in second post reply testing Samsung browser.

Using samsung browser latest version. Yesting Profile pic change on this site (for example) gives you 3 options, and select media picker  and then select gallery works correctly.Screenshot_20241031_162833_IntentResolver.jpg

In Samsung browser adding above pic  you get a 4 option menu and selecting Gallery  also works correctly. Why is it different within Samsung browser?

Screenshot_20241031_163157_IntentResolver.jpgThe behaviour in Firefox versus Samsung browser is clearly different as well.

Compared to a MS window desktop there is a consistent interface that looks and behaves the same to upload a file in majority of browsers, so I would not have 4 different behaviours outline in original post and above.

If I raise this as mozzilla Firefox bug what should I tell them to use? How many variations of "uploading" exist. Is it a One UI or bade Android API version. Trying to help support someone remotely is difficult of you cannot predict what options they are given and which ones work.
