Recently, I took a photo of the moon in day light. The picture did not have the moon in it. I did not enhance or edit the photo. Has, anyone else experienced this, with thier phone's. Have a nice day.

Were you able to see if it appeared in the picture before the AI processing kicked in?

My picture was not in A.I. mode processing. I did circle the place where the moon was edited though.

Stop AI on your phone before taking the picture

My A.I. was not active during my camera session.

Do you have scene optimizer on in the camera settings?  It may have removed the "shadow" of the moon.  Photos like that require all automatic enhancements to be off, especially if there was a possibility shooting in the direction of the sun.

No, HEIF was off for video and picture.

I was not referring to HEIF.  I was referring to "Scene Optimizer"

For my phone that selection is called Auto HDR. No it was off.

This is a different setting than Auto HDR.  This is the fist setting in the camera settings - Auto HDR is further down the screen.  Generally speaking, I think Scene optimizer is on by default.  And, you probably should have had auto HDR on for a photo like that.

Which phone are you using?  Can we see the picture in question?
