lookin at cell phone change to Consumer Cellular - they only offer A series smart phones: a15, a16,a36.      Not happy with my current LG cell.

would like easier voice control texting & simple means to attach pictures to texting & emails - I use my laptop for majority of my online business / personal needs.  I do not need all types of bells & whistles & just want a simple smart phone for calls, voice texting, picture attachments, email.

Can users or Samsung Repr provide suggestions on best A model 15,16,36 5g phones - differences that Consumer Cellular offers ?

thxs so much - jr.

I generally do not recommend purchasing phones from a carrier, regardless of who the buyer is. Carrier phones are often sold at a subsidized price because carriers are paid to include junk apps, adware, etc. For this reason, it is recommended to buy phones directly from Samsung. Financing options are available if that is a concern.

If you are certain you only want to purchase an A series phone, I would personally recommend A3X series or higher for adequate performance in daily use such camera quality, content consumption, content sharing, etc.

The key for simplicity will be setting up the device. Samsung phones offer an "Easy Mode" which can be helpful for seniors who need a simplified interface. Use home screen settings to "hide" any apps that may be unwanted or confusing. Lock the home screen layout to prevent accidental changes.

As an optional safeguard to further simplify the device, consider installing a screen time management app such as "Stay Focused" to restrict non-essential settings and prevent accidental changes.

For the best available voice input, use Google voice. This can be used with samsung keyboard or you can install gboard. For the highest quality picture messaging experience, use Google Messages with RCS enabled.

Hope this helps!

If you are going to go with an A series phone, definitely choose the 3x or 5x model, whether you purchase from your carrier or not. If you don't need bells and whistles and only want basic features with no performance issues those models are better than the 1x model

A16 is very frustrating,  simple tasks are time wasters, I want to throw this thing, this purely soul crushing, most vile nerve wracking joy of life stealing **bleep** of a phone  onto a rooftop... throw the a16 total loser galaxy as high and as far as I can.   never to be seen again.

LG hasn't manufactured phones in at least 4 or 5 years... you can always find an unlocked Samsung Galaxy phone of your choice (Consumer Cellular uses the T-Mobile Network, so I'd suggest trying to find a T-Mobile device that's been unlocked), and then just get a SIM from Consumer Cellular (that way you're not paying them for a phone either).
