Samsung Internet keeps switching Home Page setting back to Google

I have an A54 and an A03s, both with Samsung Internet as the default browser. On both I keep setting my Homepage settings to "Quick access", and the "Quick access" option is set to "None". I've had BOTH phones set to this for several days. After a restart on the A03s, I will eventually open a new tab in Samsung Internet and it will pop up Google's home page. I then go to my Settings where I see that something has changed my Homepage setting back to "Default", which is the Google page. I've been careful to ensure that both phones (which sync their Samsung apps) are BOTH set to "Quick access"/"None", so it cannot be that I've mistakenly set the option back to "Default" on one and then the other picks up the synced setting. I've seen this problem on the A03s three times now; I don't think the A54 has done it yet but I'm not sure. In any event, this very clearly seems to be a BUG.

I experimented by turning off the "Sync" on my Samsung Internet apps on both phones, thinking that the problem might be a bug the "sync" feature, wherein the A03s browser somehow gets obsolete or default Settings data from the cloud or misinterprets those cloud settings. But turning off Sync on both sides (after ensuring that the Homepage settings on both sides were set properly) did not fix anything; the A03s Samsung Internet browser seems to reset its Homepage setting to the default Google page sooner or later. The problem seems to happen most when I have multiple tabs open and then open another tab. I don't think I've seen the problem on my A54 phone yet.

If clearing the app cache did not help, you can try wiping your device's cache partition and repair apps:

- Power off your device.
- While the device is powered off, simultaneously press and hold the power and volume up buttons.
- Once the Samsung logo appears, release both buttons. Your device should boot into recovery mode.

Using the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select:

- Navigate to "wipe cache partition" and press power.
- Select yes to confirm.
- Navigate down to "Repair apps" and press power.
