How do I turn the media off on my lock screen. It should be an option not something I have to deal with. It's ridiculous that I have to put up with this on my lock screen. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it is greatly appreciated.

Uninstall the yahoo app and see if it goes away, you can always download it again.

Or you can archive it so you don't have to sign in again

Do you have a Metro branded phone? That looks like the new thing Metro added. I believe you can turn it off. Don't go screaming at Samsung because of Something your carrier did.

I'm too old for hunny and this isn't an issue that I should have to deal with in the first place.

Your problem is with Metro then, go bark at them. Change carriers!

This is a Metro issue , not a Samsung issue. You have to deal with it, because when you bought a carrier branded phone, you consented to allowing them to install apps on your phone as part of your contract in exchange for the deep discount you got for the phone. If you don't want that happening, next time but an unlocked phone.
