Is anyone else upset with Samsung and the new feature of call recording that can't be turned off? I have a Samsung a15 & because of Samsung not giving g the option to turn off, I'm ready to never get a Samsung again.

I have the Samsung Phone app it does not allow me to record calls. It does temporarily record the call so that it can Live Translate the call, if I turn it on. Samsung states all the information is performed on your phone and it is deleted after one month or can be deleted manually.

In the US several states require that both parties consent to the call being record.

It should not be recording every phone call unless you select to record it??

Check and make sure you're not talking about transcript assist. If so, you can uninstall the voice recorder??? You'll still have the basic recording option, but the actual voice recorder app will be gone

The recording feature is NOT activated, unless you actually turn it on!

I'm having the same problem. And you are right you can't turn it off. But don't think just because you don't have Samsung you are not being recorded. I wasn't even signed up to Samsung when my phone started recording me. My phone carrier advised me to sign up with Samsung to remove recording so I did and still I am being recorded. I even turned off app permissions. I'm about ready to reset my phone to get rid of that permission if someone doesn't help me find the issue and turn off these illegal recordings against my privacy.

Samsung tech support did a reset on my phone & it didn't fix it. They added it in last update One UI 7.0. Tech support dept told me they were working on resolving issue. Hopefully it's soon!!

Yes I hope Samsung and my phone carrier get it under control. We all need our phones but what thet are doing whoever it is is illegal and we pay the price all for using our phones.

Not illegal.  It would be illegal if *they* were recording your calls without consent.  Just because it may get activated accidentally does not mean the recording process is out of your control.  You can still stop the recording and delete the recording, and all recordings stay solely on your phone.  The only entity listening in on your phone calls is the NSA. As many have told everyone else before, ad infinitum, you are not required to use the Samsung dialer and you can download and choose another.  Phone by Google is free and ad-free, and available in the Play store, and it does not have the recording feature.

There should at least b a way to turn it off in the settings & they left that feature out. People shouldn't have to download a different dialer app. Samsung just needs to add a toggle on/off in settings for it.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out how to get it activated not just once but permanently on my phone...
