WHEN I GET A CALL, NEITHER THE GREEN OR RED BUTTON WORKS, IT JUST KEEPS RINGING THEN GOES TO VOICE MAIL I THINK.  THIS DEVICE IS JUST MAKING ME CRAZY BECAUSE I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT *EVERYTHING* WITH GOOGLE. WHY IS  IT SO USER UNFRIENDLY ? DID I MAKE IT MAD ?

Have you tried holding the green button and swiping to answer. You can also open your phone Dialer and tap the 3 dots in the top right Settings and select Answering and Ending calls and change to tap 1755199057829.jpg

thank you for the help. i appreciate your time and kind words.

sorry but this phone is the biggest loser unfriendly junk i have ever experienced.  who needs to go through all this hassle ? it is unreal.  halfway thru typing unreal i get a popup to take a survey afterwards which comes up immediately.  the programmers must be insane.  unbelievable trash product and software.

i will just sell it and get something else.

Is this your first smart phone?  The learning curve is steep coming from a landline or feature phone. Especially with Samsung, which has more settings than most Android phones because of the customization options.  You are 73 years old, don't elevate your blood pressure over a phone.  Everything going on with your device is solvable if you calm down and work through it slowly. Not everything has to be set up all at once.  The swipe to answer is standard on smart phones.  I've been using smart phones for years, and even I only just discovered last month that I can change the swipe to a tap, and only found it by accident while looking to change a different setting.

The Samsung phone has sooooo many settings that it is cumbersome to use daily. I've had many cell phones over the past 18 years. This one is the most difficult. The default settings are clunky at best.

I too have been forced to Google mist things just to get an idea of where to start looking for settings. I've had the phone for 15 days. I couldn't answer the phone last night no matter how many swipes I took. ***heavy sigh *** luckily I was not in am emergency situation.

Hopefully i will grow to like it. Yes I would change a lot with a new QA usability process.
