I've been concerned about someone getting my phone and accessing my Google account. By doing so they could access passwords. I have a screen lock setup but am still concerned.

I added Gmail, Photos, and Chrome to Secure folder but still have two issues.

1) I can't just sign out of the various Google apps that are not in Secure folder. I would have to delete my account from them. When I tried to do that I got a message saying that would affect phone operation.

2) There are other Google apps - Drive, One, etc that would also need to be added to Secure folder but I'm not going to do so unless this is going to work.

Any ideas about what to do?

@smayer1261 Set up your phone with a good password. Not a password that someone who knows you or asks you a couple of questions can guess. Don't use PIN or biometrics.

Now don't share your password with anyone. Also don't let others touch your phone.

Then it comes down to your browsing activity. Don't visit suspicious sites or download random apps that you don't really need.

If you do those things, you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Yes, what @LongHiker says.  Are you in the habit of leaving your phone lying around where anyone can grab it, or in the habit of sharing passwords (or even reusing passwords for several accounts)?  If not, there really is no reason to be so antsy about it.  Just don't ever let a significant other convince you to share your password with them. Some SOs become vengeful exes. And keep your phone close at hand except when you are alone in your own home.

I've been married for almost 40 years. Not worried about spouse. Mainly if phone was ever lost or stolen.

Just use a strong password on your phone that no one is likely to guess.  There are many other ways for your Google account to be compromised that don't include getting into your phone.  I used to use a formula - I'd look around whatever room I was in when setting up a computer (or phone), and pick the most unusual item.  If the item name was too short, I'd add some characters, like take another object and split it up around the original word (passwords don't have to make sense).  Since none of the objects were associated with me and no one would know what I looked at in that moment, it would be very hard to guess at the password. I have a password that I have been using for over 30 years.  It's never been guessed and I never shared it. People of a certain generation may not even know what the object is.  I don't even bother with different cases, but I do prefer at least 7 characters.  You don't want it too long that it becomes an annoyance to keep entering it.  I would also set an alternate method like a pin or fingerprint, just in case you or the phone forgets your password.  Just make sure that whatever it is, you write it down somewhere where *you* can find it.
