WhatsApp Restore Stuck at 69% on Samsung F55 (Android 15, One UI 6)

Hello,

I am unable to restore my WhatsApp chats on my new Samsung Galaxy F55 (Android 15, One UI 6). Here are the details:

1. Old phone: Realme GT Master Edition.

2. Backup: Full local backup + Google Drive backup available.

3. Test: Backup restored successfully on OPPO A5 (so backup is valid).

4. Issue: On Samsung F55, restore gets stuck at 69%, then shows “Sorry, we couldn’t restore any messages.”

5. Attempts:

   • Tried local restore (Databases folder correctly placed).

   • Tried Google Drive restore.

   • Deleted Media folders (videos, voice notes) to reduce size.

   • Performed factory reset + clean install.

   • Old APKs won’t work (WhatsApp forces update).

Conclusion: Backup is fine. This is a compatibility issue between WhatsApp and Samsung (Android 15/One UI 6).

I also found multiple reports from other Samsung users (S24, S25, A-series) experiencing the same restore stuck at 69%. Even Samsung support staff have confirmed that WhatsApp is aware and working on an app patch.

Request:

• Please confirm if this is a known issue.

• Any ETA on a fix from WhatsApp?

• Any official workaround in the meantime?

This is extremely frustrating as it prevents me from accessing 7+ years of chat history.

My phone was cloned an now sence i made a secure folder they have more access to my phone than i do because they factory reset my phine an i the owner cant gwt inti any secure folder ,how can i get it back?
