Photos moved from regular gallery to secure folder not showing

I have been struggling with the situation where I moved photos from the 'regular' folder into secure folder but I can't not find them anymore. I have checked the security options, restarted the phone and at this point nothing seems to work for them to display.
Need please a solution, secure folder feature is the painfullest feature I've used ever.

This is happening in my A56 phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you sign into secure folder after you moved them?

Yes, I clicked on the three dots on the side, selected Move to Secure Folder and after that I went into the secure folder icon, I verified my identity, then gallery. Nothing is there, it is all empty.

What do you mean "verified your identity"? When I sign into secure folder, see the screenshot, it asks me for a password not to verify my identity. Is this what you did?

I use my fingerprint instead of password. That screen states 'Verify your identity. Scan your fingerprint' that's what I did.

Sorry, didn't realize that fingerprint was an acceptable verification for secure folder. Can you get into your my files app and see what files are in secure folder? They have got to be there somewhere.

So, I have used Samsung My Files, Files by Google and File Manager from the store and can't find the images.  Neither from normal nor secure folder. I'm afraid they are lost now, can't believe Samsung is so complicated on something that would be pretty simple to do. :'(

Trust me, I've been using secure folder since my Galaxy S7 Edge way back when, it is not complicated. You say you were trying to move photos from your gallery, do you know what type of image they were? Were they JPG, or were they HEIC? Have you looked in the trash bin in your secure folder? How about the trash on the regular side? Have you tried moving anything else into secure folder to see if it does the same thing? I would suggest taking a couple of pictures of the wall or something and leave it in your camera roll and see if you can move those to the camera roll in your secure folder.
