Hey there jaxmax62,

I understand how frustrating it can be to not be able to reboot your phone.

If you are experiencing any freezing or unresponsive on the phone, by pressing and holding down the power button > volume down button simultaneously for 7-10 seconds.

If the freezing and unresponsive still continues after a reboot then I would recommend booting the device in safe mode. This mode disables all third-party apps from running in the background.

Follow these steps below:

  1. First, completely power off the phone or tablet.

  2. Turn on the device and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume down key.

  3. If done correctly, "Safe mode" will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If "Safe mode" does not appear, repeat the previous steps.

  4. Once you're in Safe mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues.

Start by removing apps that were updated or installed when the problem started.

  5. To exit Safe mode, simply restart your phone or tablet and it will reboot normally. Or, you can tap the Safe mode notification; swipe down from the top of the screen, and then tap the Safe mode is on notification. Tap Turn off.

In Safe mode, if the symptoms doesn't occur in this mode, means a third-party app could be causing this to occur. I recommend you to delete any third party apps (starting with the most recent ones) until you no longer experience the symptoms.

If you are still experiencing the symptoms in safe mode, then I would recommend fully backing up your device and performing a factory reset. This will reset all settings on the device to its factory settings.

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician.
