Washers and DryersI love Samsung phones! But maybe they should stick to phones. When Samsung first came out with washers and dryers a friend of mine bought them. She had nothing but problems after the first week.
Now, we were in the market for a new oven and decided to go ahead and get a new washer and dryer too - take advantage of the holiday deals. We went with Samsung because again, we love their phones and felt they had enough time to figure out the kinks with their home appliances. WRONG!! Not even a week after purchasing and installing the dryer stops working! None of the support chats, community forums, phone call with support had a solution. Now I’m waiting for someone to contact me to come out and service the dryer. LAME!!

Washers and DryersWhen you replaced the dryer, did you clean the vent? A couple of years ago we had a non-Samsung dryer fail. The reason was that the vent was pretty full of lint and overheated a board in the dryer. This is the vent that goes from the dryer to outside your house.

Washers and DryersHi!!
The setting lights flash, you hear a couple quiet clicks, and the dryer counts down as if it’s drying but nothing is moving. Just silence, blinking, and count down.
I used the Smart Care feature, it says the door is open. Door is not open. But I opened it, closed it, and tried again, got the same result. I turned off the breaker, turned it back on, same result. Turned on child lock, turned it back off, same result. Tried other settings, same result.
And yes, we cleaned the vent before installing. We prepped and cleaned the entire space so we could feel like we had a laundry room remodel. 😆
I saw on Reddit thread that it’s something with a belt and they detailed the fix for it. Several people had the same issue. But I am not opening my brand new dryer and voiding the warranty. We invested in new, instead of buying a cheap used appliance so that we wouldn’t have to worry about issues or malfunctions. And in less than a week we’re having issues.
