A bit frustrated with my new Bespoke Washer/Dryer combo. I'm using the 2nd detergent dispenser for color fabrics. But there is no way to select this option for the AI cycle. It always defaults to the main dispenser. After much research, I found there are 3 cycles that use the 'specialty' dispenser: Delicate, Wool, Activewear. I would like to be able to select which dispenser to use for any cycle, including AI. Sure I could modify some of the settings for the 3 cycles, but frankly that unacceptable for such a high end unit. Samsung, are you listening?
What's wrong with using the main detergent dispenser? Color safe detergent is not special.

According to research I've read, it does make a difference. But I'm considering using Tide Colorsafe in the main dispenser, and then use the secondary dispenser for a rinse agent.
But my main point still stands. We users need more flexibility.
Research exists. When one buys an expensive appliance they should ask about details of particular features. In any washer (or dryer) I've ever owned, of any brand, there were always features that worked only on particular cycles.

I said research exists. I'm sure that the manual was available. I'm sure that Samsung had specs on its website. If you have ever had a laundry appliance before, you know that different features are reserved for different cycles. If you want to use the special dispenser so much, there is no law that says you can't use the "woolens" cycle. It's only a named cycle because it takes the guesswork out of water temperature settings and spin velocity; and possibly has a shorter wash cycle.
Oh, and it is basically a salesman's job to know the product they are selling and its features. Most appliance salespeople are not high school kids on a summer job. Sales is a career - especially big ticket items. Anyone can sell gadgets at Target or Best Buy.

I agree! All of the research I did made it sound like you could easily switch between the two detergent bins.
and for the person who asked about color safe detergent…
I use a dye/fragrance free for my clothes and my son’s due to eczema and sensitive skin…tide for the main bin. so yes, I researched and what I found was two fins that you could select to change detergent. while looking for answers it seems this was an option in the ai mode to switch over the detergent bin and it was changed with an update. I am also frustrated.
