I've been thinking about getting a BOOX Note Air4 C to use as an e-reader and for taking notes when I start class. I do however have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 9+ which I love, so the better idea is to just use that.

Has anyone successfully converted their Samsung tablet to an e-reader/e-notebook? What are some settings you've tried to optimize it for reading/note taking?

The BOOX pros:
page-like screen in texture/resolution & incredibly lightweight

The BOOX cons:
slow, sub-par stylus, not optimized for left-handed users
