I would backup to Google and then use Smart Switch for PC to backup the tablet to the PC. Just to be sure I would copy my photos and documents to PC or Cloud as a fallback as well.
Remember that you need the original email to set up the tablet again or you can remove all the accounts in Settings->Accounts and Backups before you Factory Reset in order to use a different account
