Galaxy Tab S6Lite will not open

 When I power up my brand new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite the opening screen displays for about 5 seconds then the screen goes black.

 The display shows the time and date, and "swipe to open." This does not work. Sliding does nothing.

 The tablet is about 6 hours old.

 Please advise.

Hello! I understand how this can be a cause for concern have you tried running the device in safe mode? You can do that by the following: 

1. Turn the device off.
2. Press and hold the Power key.
3. When Samsung appears on the screen, release the Power key.
4. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
5. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
6. Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode on the device.
