Hello!

I've recently heard of an eas alert sound. Which was a test (I think since NY is currently at heat advisory) but I didn't get the warning on my phone. The settings are all turned on. And notifications were on.

Maybe the alert wasn't for your specific location.  Also, the EAS doesn't usually activate for heat advisories -- it does for hurricanes, tornados, anything that would require evacuation or shelter, etc.  They try not to "cry wolf" too often or no one will pay attention to the alerts when they are important.  You can also download the FEMA app, which will give weather and other severe event advisories.

Ok thx. The person does live the same place where I live (basically apartment). But now I think it was because of the cable box provider.

Yeah, people get annoyed when their phone starts blasting for no apparent reason. Ladt bladt I got was an amber alert and only because it was nationwide. Local alerts are usually on text and push notification blasts.

Think that would be a weather app issue instead of phone
