I am trying to edit (delete) tracked sleep times that registered in Samsung health, as it registered me being inactive while watching a movie, as being asleep. This has previously never been an issue, as there was always an 'edit' option that allowed you to delete sleep periods. I could not find any other posts that may relate, so my apologies if there is one already out there.

Unfortunately, you can  only delete a sleep record (or extra sleep record) on the same day it was recorded.  This has been a frustration for many people - both the fact of the erroneous recording is happening at all and the fact that one can't delete it when discovered on another day.  It's not like these are official records that are required to be kept - it's  personal log.

The only option we have right now is to keep sending feedback/complaints to the development team and, hopefully, at some point there will be enough voices to effect change in a future update.

I have the same issue.

I was able to edit and delete sleep records from previous days with my old S10 until June, when I upgraded to an S24 with One UI 7, and since then I can only delete records of the current day, but as soon as midnight passes, you can't change it anymore.

This is very frustrating because it was a very nice feature which was already built in, and for some weird reason it was removed. Additionally, it is very frustrating seeing some replies to this thread proposing workarounds to what is clearly a software issue, that can easily be fixed, and still denying this was possible in the past and that this is a removed feature.

THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!!

[Workaround]

I ran into the same issue recently, my watch recorded an incorrect sleep session of 23 hours and 23 minutes.

I can confirm that once the day is over (specifically after midnight) the option to delete that record simply disappears from the menu.

However, I found a workaround that worked for me.

  • First, I closed the Samsung Health app completely.

  • I turned on Airplane Mode (just to be safe).

  • In my phone settings, I manually changed the date back to the specific day of the error.

  • When I reopened Samsung Health, the app thought it was still that day, so the Delete option reappeared and I could easily remove the data that caused the mess.

  • Once done, I just closed the app and set the time back to automatic.

I couldn't find this info anywhere else, so I hope it helps anyone looking to fix their stats the way I did.
