Hello,

I am experiences some strange read-outs from the Samsung Health app regarding sleep quality and in particular the "rest score". I don't know what that rest score is actually called in the English version of the app, since I use a local language. However, it is the score that states a percentage of bed-time that was actual sleep time.

Before mid-may I always got a good sleep score, with > 90 % sleep time between bed-time and rise-time.  After that same time, I always get very bad sleep score. There are no other changes in pulse or anything else. And I definitely feel the same, no change in my perception of restfulness.

I have of course also checked that watch is sitting snug on the arm, etc.

I am therefore wondering if perhaps the app has changed the way it calculates. I see that there was software update pretty much the same time my score changed.

Anyone else seeing this strange and sudden change in rating?

Yes i have also been experiencing extreme inconsistencies with the readings. Watch rest snug on my wrist and some nights reads thoroughly and other nights there are hour gaps of no recording of sleep but heart rate still being measured

Yes, if I get up in the night briefly the app thinks I am getting up instead of going back to bed for 3 more hours.

I now suspect that the motion detector in the watch got damaged. It is one very specific date, which is 24th May. Before then my sleep was always very good (except for when having had alcohol, of course), but after that date it is always very bad. I am tempted to buy the new watch just to test if it gives the same reading. But that is quite annoying to do, of course.
