SmartTag2 settings in SmartThings app

Everytime I try to go to any of my SmartTag2 settings for any of tags, I get to a page which says "Before Using This Tag", and then there's some text and a button marked Complete. Nothing happens when I try to hit the button, and the page remains. It's preventing me from changing any settings or even updating firmware. 

I've tried disconnecting all my tags, and also doing a hard reset. I also tried uninstalling SmartThings. It still does the same. 

The app detects the location of all the tags without problem, and also can sound the tags. But I just can't access settings or update firmware.

Have you tried to factory reset the Tags? Or call Samsung tech support? If not try those both, in that order.

I've tried factory resetting, but had no luck. Thought I'd try here before contacting Samsung.

The EXACT SAME THING just started happening to me too using an s22. I have 5 smarttag2's and every one of them are doing that. I reset them and it didn't make a difference. I have a Galaxy tab 7 lite that has access. I've tried all the useless suggestions technical support gives when they don't know how to solve the issue like turn phone on/off and reinstall smart things, et cetera.

I have exactly the same issue. I have an S24 Ultra along with a bunch of Galaxy Tags and some Galaxy SmartTag2s. I've tried restarting the phone, adding another new Tag 2, clearing the app cache, clearing the app data, and reinstalling SmartThings, but no luck so far.

It's been happening for roughly a week and it makes updating or editing any of the tags impossible as it gets stuck on the "Before using this Tag" screen where the Continue button doesn't work. Turning the screen sideways also doesn't work as you can't scroll to the Continue button. I've even tried using a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to get passed the Continue button, but that doesn't work either.

I have this issue with SmartTag2 and S23 Ultra and SmartThings 1.8.34.21. Is there a solution for this?

Same issues here on my S25ultra. However, I fired up my old s23 Ultra and it works fine. Checked and both are at the same release levels.

Just finished speaking to Samsung support on this and they had me uninstall "Android System WebApi" which worked instantly for me.

 

Go to Settings->Apps->Android System WebApi->Three dots in the top right->Uninstall Updates
