I've been using the Windows version of Smart Switch for a couple of years. Samsung is pushing everyone to move to a new version in the Microsoft App Store, V5.0.24.0. It simply does not recognize my Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus. If I uninstall V5.0.24.0, reboot the machine, and reinstall V4.3.24043.3 (which immediately updates itself to V4.3.24094_1), then everything works. If I uninstall V4.3.24094_1, reboot, go back to the MS App store and install V5.0.24.0, that version again can't see the Galaxy S24 Plus. Uninstall V5.0.24.0, reboot, and reinstall V4.3.24043.3 (which immediately updates itself to V4.3.24094_1), then everything works again.

Anyone see similar behavior? If so, any solution? I'm happy running V4.3.24094_1 as long as it keeps working.

Not sure of the relevance of that link, as it's just a generic housekeeping suggestion link.

Both the Galaxy S24 Plus phone and the PC are fully up-to-date. PC is a Dell Precision 5680 running fully up-to-date Windows 11 24H2 (OS Build 26100.4484) per Windows Update with fully up-to-date drivers & bios per the Dell Command Updater. The phone is running One UI v7.0, Android v16 and claims it's up-to-date when you have it manually check for updates. All apps on the phone are up-to-date.

If the older version works for you, and you have all the features you need, just keep using it as long as you are not getting continual prompts to update to the Microsoft version (or if you can just ignore and swipe away the prompts).
